We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Denver.

Accounting manager will oversee the accounting department functions with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting. The Accounting manager is responsible for driving team performance and getting the most out of individual contributors. The Accounting Manager is a critical role at our office and performs many responsibilities including the following:

Responsibilities for Accounting Manager

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
• Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
• Support the Executive Team by developing strategic priorities and delivering results across all departments to ensure accounting and financial processes and reports are accurate, while identifying risks and proactively resolving potential gaps
• Work closely with the VP of Operations to manage budgeting, forecasting, financial, and accounting processes for the business unit
• Support and promote business initiatives and provides guidance and oversight on accounting and financial matters
• Create, maintain, and audit internal compliance policies
• Manage the day-to-day business financial and accounting processes and records
• Work collaboratively with all departments to analyze financial and accounting data
• Ensure all financial statements and related reports are prepared in compliance with company policy and state and federal regulations
• Attend and participate in all required company training
• Promote and support all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

To be successful in the position, we are looking for an individual with the following:

• B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong financial analysis skillset, with a focus on adding value to the business
• Proven experience managing accounting and financial processes
• Deep knowledge and understanding of financial budgeting and project forecasting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proven history of managing multiple projects and processes
• Advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel) and Accounting Software, preferably Quick Books Online

The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $90,000.
