We are seeking to hire an experienced Accounting Management Professional for a Vice President of Accounting position in our Forest Hill, Maryland corporate headquarters. The primary responsibilities of the Vice President of Accounting involvemanaging the overall day to day of the entire corporate accounting team as well as working on financial projects with ownership. General Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting team and its functions.
• Ensure proper and timely financial and tax accounting in accordance with GAAP and IRS rules.
• Oversee annual audits and coordinate with external accountants.
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Manage financial performance by monitoring ongoing performance.
• Analyze data to identify critical trends and support strategic decision making.
• Develop budgets for each business unit.
• Control costs and foster vendor relationships
• Advise and collaborate with senior leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. CPA, Master’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, with at least three years in a supervisory position.
• Expert Excel skills with proficiency in Microsoft office products and general ledger accounting software.
