Job Description
Ensure that everyone that encounters Home Instead West Bridgford feels positive with the interaction; clients, Caregivers, and professionals
Actively network to attract new Caregivers to the company
Support the robust recruitment administration process
Support retention through field based Caregiver support (including introductions, shadows, care certificate, etc)
The Role:
This role is a 50/50 role – office/field based. Time spent in the field to network to attract new Caregivers, and supporting those that are in post – whilst 50 % of the time administrative based to ensure the robust recruitment processes are adhered to.
Recruitment of new Caregivers:
Target +4 net Caregivers recruited each month
Post on Smart Recruiters to attract the right candidates
Post on FB and social media to attract candidates
Attend events in the community to attract candidates
Network were appropriate to attract candidates
Respond to new candidate applications through the SR App which at times may be outside of usual office hours
Call previous applicants and encourage them to pop in for a chat with Amy
Invite new applicants in to meet and be flexible with timings if needed ie outside of usual office hours
Ensure application form is completed correctly: all work history or signed to say not work, for example, 2 professional references / 2 personal references
Ensure Smart Recruiters system is up to date with candidate progress
Ensure all Caregiver profiles are up to date and saved on the various programs and platforms
Ensure all Caregivers have the appropriate induction (MLC)
Certificates are given (photograph as evidence)
The ongoing competencies are managed
Manage field based observations to sign off the care certificate with the Care Coordinator
Annual refresher training of CPR / M&H
Sign off of any in home competencies i.e.. use of a hoist
Training materials are up to date both from the Franchise Center and CQC compliance
Caregiver Retention and Relations:
Create a plan with the team for each stage of the Caregiver journey to ensure they are fully supported, with touchpoints in place, especially within the first 12 weeks.
Monitor staff welfare, morale, and wellbeing.
Work to ensure we have a star / OUTSTANDING CG and client team of the month which is recognized and appreciated
Ensure Caregivers’ great work is recognized on Social Media Platforms
Ensure Caregiver anniversaries and birthdays are recognized (card and posts)
Ensure Caregivers remain compliant – ie PP tasks – ongoing motor tasks new insurance for example
Organise the monthly Caregiver drop-in
Organise the quarterly Caregiver team meetings
Spend an hour a week – just calling around – just because to give ‘an hour of love’
Coordinate the Monthly key CG focus topic groups
Caregiver Compliance:
To ensure all Caregiver files are complaint
Ensure all documentation is signed off and correct in creating CG files
That car documents are updated as expire
That DBS is clear and updated every 3 years
That each CG has 2 professional and 2 personal references
Bi annual audit of files
All hard copy files are replicated on SharePoint
24 hour feedback call to CGs after starting and starting new clients
Sign off of Caregiver HR and personal document file and hand over ready to work and schedule
To ensure Supervisions and tasks are actioned as required and recorded appropriately
Support the care team to ensure training and personal development needs are met.
Ensure strong relationships are kept with Caregivers supporting clients so that they communicate any client change regarding tasks to be updated etc
Ensure appropriate matches of Caregivers are made to safely cover client calls – and make these introductions ensuring Caregivers can shadow calls effectively to be able to deliver independently
Support and record client introductions and review matches monthly
Monitor on-going competencies are managed, and additional training is given as required
Sign off of any in home competencies i.e. use of a hoist, medication, etc
Manage field based observations to sign off the care certificate – write up observations, ensure Caregivers complete the care certificate within 12 weeks
Annual refresher training of CPR / M&H
Ensure supervisions visits and spot checks are completed
Mentor new Caregivers in the field
Be the first point of contact for Caregivers during their first 12 weeks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
