Job Description

As our L&D Co-Ordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering induction and assessment training, refresher training and on-the-job training and assessment using our practical approach to cater for all learning styles.

The role will be primarily based in Wetherby with the occasional requirement to travel to Ilkley office to deliver training.

• Deliver the specific Induction Training programme for all new Care Professionals, ensuring they attain the relevant level of competence to deliver their role.
• Complete on the job competency assessments to ensure Care Professionals have the right skills and knowledge.
• Responsible for delivering training as outlined in the Care Professional Development Journey for all Care Professionals, ensuring all relevant refresher training is completed within the correct timescales.
• Develop training and enhance the skills of the existing team through personal development plans.
• Identify and agree additional training or development needed to build competence and confidence of Care Professionals.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of all training, identifying training gaps and recommending relevant training solutions to meet these needs.
• Work with Care Professionals and role model high quality care in the client’s home.
• Manage the My Learning Cloud LMS, ensuring training records and the team’s training compliance is up-to date at all time.
• To keep up to date with all new developments in the Health and Social Care Sector and ensure all training materials reflect current legislative requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
• Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.

Qualifications

You will have a recognised training or teaching qualification and/or have experience of preparing and delivering a range of training courses. We will provide full training and support to help you build your subject matter knowledge.

Demonstrate a clear passion for training, particularly regarding quality and person centred care of the elderly in the community

Experience working in a professional training environment with proven track record

Thorough understanding of the importance of confidentiality working within legislation,

Excellent communication skills, you will possess the ability to deliver training and will be skilled in the presentation and delivery of training

Organised, effective IT skills

Patient listener, ability to nurture Care Professionals to enable them to reach their full potential and engages well with diverse personalities

Flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the business, prepared to work some evenings and weekends as and when required

Hold a full driving license and own a reliable and insured car
