Job Title: Senior Accountant

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Summary of Position

The senior accountant is responsible for overseeing a staff accountant and accounting intern. The senior accountant’s responsibilities include performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and maintain fixed asset database
• Preparation of quarterly and annual occupational tax returns
• Prepare personal property and real estate returns for multiple states
• Oversee and approve expense reporting
• Monitor and reconcile BRAVO Program card funding
• Plan, assign and review staff’s work
• Support month-end and year-end close process through preparation and review of journal entries
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Review financial statements for accuracy

• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years experience with significant accounting responsibilities

Salary is commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
