As a growing organisation, we have development opportunities for vocational/sector experienced candidates to join us, becoming qualified Tutors, then progressing to Team Leader, Delivery Manager or Internal Quality Assurance roles.

You will be working with learners who want to progress into further training, employment or apprenticeships within practical settings. You will teach with a reduced timetable for the first year, and complete:

– An enhanced induction

– Internal teacher training

– Work shadowing with qualified tutors

– Training & Education based administration

As a new tutor your duties will include supporting:

·A caseload of learners in the Northwest, Midlands or London areas.

·Delivering Vocational and Functional Skills up to Level 2.

·Identifying individual learner needs to set and review SMART targets on assessment plans.

·Working to the new standards and completion of programmes

Summary:

To support learners in and out of the workplace through the delivery of vocational training, Employability and Functional Skills leading to successful completion of their programme.

To deliver effective teaching and learning sessions to learners throughout the programme and develop their knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their career goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills in Maths and English and vocational qualifications to learners in and out the workplace through a variety of teaching and assessment methods.

• Conduct initial assessments with all new learners and employers to verify requirements, commitment and eligibility.

• Deliver inductions with all new learners and employers to ensure full compliance of all internal and external policies.

• Adhere to all internal policies continuously to ensure safe and equal practice.

• Alert management of any breaches to policies by following the alerting procedure.

• Ensure all learners receive the highest quality skills development support towards the achievement of their programme.

• Ensure assessment records are accurate and updated after each visit, providing an audit trail.

• Follow planned weekly visit cycle to ensure learner completions meet agreed performance targets.

• Ensure teaching and learning is conducted to meet the required internal and external quality standards at all times.

• Ensure the quality of completed programmes prior to IV inspection.

• Continually promote our services and qualifications with all employers and learners in order to identify new opportunities.

• Participate positively in all team meetings, providing feedback and suggestions in order to share good practice and exceed delivery expectations.

• To undertake any other associated duties within the training division, as deemed appropriate by the Teaching & Learning Quality Lead.

Essential Requirements:

• 3 years minimum occupational experience within your field.

• Desire to establish a career in training.

• Full UK driving license and use of own vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £17,000.00-£21,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
