The Mammo Coordinator’s performance is directly linked to the overall success of the entire breast imaging team, customer service performance levels and improvement of overall patient experience.

Requirements:

EDUCATION:

To be competitive, must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Request medical records and follow up to confirm upload of images and scanned s.
• Mail daily correspondence to patients.
• Schedule mammogram appointments for patients.
• Schedule biopsy appointments, communicate with patient all required preparation instructions and obtain necessary documentation from referring physician’s office.
• Work closely with the mammography technologists and supervisor.
• Schedule all Breast MRI appointments.
• Call patients requiring additional imaging and get them scheduled ASAP for Diagnostic Exams.
• Schedule patients for 6 month follow-ups.
• Schedule ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound) exams.
• Assist in improving the overall patient experience.

This position will allow you to continue to gain knowledge in regards to mammograms and diagnostic testing to be able to reduce anxiety of patients by providing explanations of imaging procedure; explaining equipment; and answering the patients questions.
