HM Repairs – Inventory Specialist

Position Overview

s To: Office Manager

Position Description

Owns ordering and maintenance of general inventory, vendor

management, returns, and credit processing.

Accountabilities

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT (55%) at HM

o Place, order, and put away all stocked parts for HM.

o Work with current vendors on pricing and order quantities.

o Track orders and follow up on any issues.

o Track usage of items and submit recommendations for min/max quantities as needed.

o Adding cross references to current inventory.

o Count Inventory

ASSIST SPECIAL ORDER PARTS PERSON (15%)

o Pull inventory needed & deliver to job.

o Determine in-house inventory part cross references on quotes or parts request.

o Assist with putting special orders away/labeling.

CREDITS/WARRANTIES (25%)

o Oversee processing of all returned items.

o Follow up with parts techs and vendors as needed for return issues.

VENDOR MANAGEMENT (5%)

o Source/setup new vendors as needed.

o Inform Shop – Manager of any issues with vendor lead times or capacity issues.

• Improved financials through timely returns, increased margins & increased inventory sales.
• Create strong, long-lasting vendor relationships.

Required Competencies

• Demonstrated experience tracking multiple details.
• Ability to compute at 35+ wpm.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft products, specifically Excel.

Preferred Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to create and interpret analytics.

Pay: $18 – $24 / hour
