As Financial Consultant you will be part of the Support Office team supporting all stores and area teams. In this diverse role you must have strong attention to detail and ensure you are constantly improving the processes in order to support our stores with user friendly processes in order to drive a quick turnaround and ensure a high service level. You work cross functionally across a variety of stakeholders with a store first approach. The stores are your customer!

Some of the key responsibilities of this role:

• Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies, including creating the general ledger code, formulating yearly payroll budget and formulating yearly workers compensation budget
• Preparing financial statements for presentation to management, stakeholders and governing and statutory bodies
• Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
• Liaising with financial institutes and brokers to establish funds management arrangements
• Introducing and maintaining finance systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based finance systems
• Maintaining internal control systems
• General ledger reconciliation
• Month end closing journals
• Liaise with Area Controllers for month end process and year end process
• Reconciling and posting required journal entries for end of month
• Oversee the quality and accuracy of Australia and New Zealand Payroll Processing. Report Monthly on quality of processing
• Innovative and solution orientated, able to proactively dissect and improve processes independently
• Manage and oversee all Support Office payroll for AUNZ together with Country HR Manager
• Process Monthly Salary Payments – AU & NZ (100 approx. team members)
• Oversee payroll team with processing of fortnightly pay (1500 approx. team members)
• Report accurately to tax authority & Superannuation regulators according to country specific requirements and deadlines
• Prepare EOFY and EOY (Sweden) Financial Reporting related data
• Work directly with Accounting Department colleagues regarding salary payments, bank reconciliation and journal entries (W1 & W2, Leave Liabilities, GL files, Total Hours Booked, etc.)
• Maintain ongoing relationships with all payroll related vendors to ensure a quality working relationship and performance
• Work cross functionally across a variety of stakeholders with a customer service approach
• Work as one team to plan, communicate and execute high quality coordination of all documentation and processes impacting a team member.
