We are currently recruiting the role of Accounting Manager/Head of Finance responsible for Australia and New Zealand.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join the H&M Support Office in Sydney. We are recruiting for an experienced Accounting Manager/Head of Finance to join our Finance team. Above and beyond normal financial accounting responsibilities, in this role you will lead and manage the finance function through demonstrating our Global Leadership Expectations, living our values and creating a high performance culture where your team feel engaged and motivated.

As an Accounting Manager/Head of Finance your key responsibilities will include:

• Generating and ensuring accuracy and legal conformity of required accounting reports
• Collaborating, establishing procedures and following up with other departments/region/global to ensure timely reporting
• Establish and provide analysis for monthly, quarterly and yearly cut
• Set routines and follow up on stock booking and intercompany transactions
• Monitor accounts payable
• Set routines for fixed asset tracking and depreciation calculations.
• Communicate with external audit authority
• Guarantee tax and VAT payments according to legal demands
• Generating cash flow forecast and ensure liquidity
• Leading and supporting your team by creating an environment where your team feel engaged, motivated and valued
• Managing your recruiting, training, developing and succession planning for the finance department team

We believe that you are ambitious, competitive, humble and a fast learner. You have great attention to detail, strong analytical skills and leadership capabilities as well as a track record of results. As a person, we believe you are a skilled communicator, value responsibility, enjoy working in a fast pace environment with focus on teamwork.

What else are we looking for?

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a similar sized organization
• CPA/CA qualification
• Strong in planning and executing together with a “can-do attitude” and self-motivating way of working in which constant improvement is part of your way of working
• Driven to constantly improve the business and best practice in order to achieve our goals
• Proven leadership skills

Additional Information

The position is a permanent role based in our Support office in Sydney. You will report directly to the CFO. You must have working rights in Australia.
