Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Financial Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Perth, Australia.

About The Position

To build knowledge and understanding relating to the roles and responsibilities associated with Administration, Finance, and Controlling (AFC). In turn, applying this knowledge to be able to efficiently work on one or more tasks.

Accountabilities:

• Review and process employees expense s (incl. FBT)
• Work collaboratively with other team members on various tasks:
• Bookkeeping
• Journal Entries in SAP
• Payments to vendors
• Reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

• 1-3 years’ work experience in a related field.
• Ability to acquire and apply new learnings quickly.
• Able to prioritise and multi-task.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Some knowledge of SAP would be beneficial.

Education qualifications preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar.
