Historic Taos Inn Hiring for Front Of House F&B Supervisor at Taos, New Mexico Full Time

Doc Martin’s / Taos Inn / Adobe Bar is currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Food and Beverage team as Front of House Supervisor. We are searching for a friendly, energetic, highly motivated individual who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Training will begin immediately.

Job Purpose:

The Front of House Supervisor can expect an 80/20 time split between the floor and administrative duties. Strong time management and delegation skills will be indispensable in executing tasks. The position is hourly and will report to Food and Beverage Director. 

Skills/Responsibilities:

• Develop and cross-train all team members
• Ensure a sense of urgency from all front of house team members at all times
• Assist in assigning daily workstations and manage breaks
• Ensure cleanliness
• Partner with the departments to communicate and coordinate day to day operations
• Assist in managing the day-to-day of all dining operations.
• Identify and solve real problems
• Hold each other accountable
• Improve performance
• Provide oversight to the cleaning program as written
• Monitor/manage food waste daily
• Perform basic repairs as needed to the kitchen equipment or seek the help of a maintenance person who can perform repairs  

Operational:

• Ensure proper cash handling and responsible credit card handling.
• Lead and instruct with a clear understanding of inventory management
• Assist in the development and implementation of S.O.Ps with an attitude toward evolving and improving processes. 

Experience and Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages.
• Working knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
• Experience in staff management and development
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• General knowledge of POS and inventory management systems
• Food Manager certificate
