job description:
Talent Acquisition Recruiter / Resourcer
This is a 12 month FTC role and can be based from our London or York offices.
The role
You’ll be supporting our Talent Acquisition Manager for Group Support and running with a healthy number of vacancies that will span quite wide range of disciplines. These can range from Actuarial, Risk & Compliance and Finance to HR, Change Management and Claims.
You’ll be involved in every stage, from the initial kick-off meeting, to writing adverts, finding and approaching candidates, telephone interviewing (if appropriate), offering and bringing the candidate on board.
We use Linkedin alot here but you’ll also know how to use all the other social tools and job boards available to talk to our audience. It’s more than just about posting ads, you’ll know how to engage with people and create interest and excitement in Hiscox as a place to build a career.
We need a skilled researcher, able to find the below-the-radar candidates. You will be comfortable and confident in making direct approaches to, and networking with people in the industry. You’ll also need to know when you need support and it’s time to reach and work with one of our agency partners.
The pace and level of recruitment can be intense and you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves to manage the high volume of roles in a difficult recruitment market. You’ll help promote best practise ensuring candidate experience is a priority and that recruitment tools and processes across all stages of the recruitment lifecycle (attraction, and selection) are upheld. You’ll have to work collaboratively across the business, building and maintaining strong working relationships with people at all levels of seniority.
It is a varied role, from directly sourcing candidates to providing bespoke advice on attraction and selection methods.
What you’ll be doing
person specification:
Diversity and Working Patterns
At Hiscox we care about our people. We hire the best people for the job and we’re committed to diversity and creating a truly inclusive culture, which we believe drives success. We have also learned over the past 15 months that working life doesn’t always have to be in the office, and when it’s safe to do so, we will be introducing hybrid ways of working to encourage a healthy work life balance.
We anticipate the successful candidate for this role will be in the office up to 3 days a week.
We see it as the best of both worlds: structure and sociability on one hand, and independence and flexibility on the other.
