Job Description


What will I be doing?

The Talent Acquisition Manager, in tandem with Hawaii HR Leaders, will lead the Talent Acquisition function and mentor a team of recruiters to achieve sourcing and hiring targets, navigate through systems and processes, and implement Talent Acquisition initiatives to meet business needs. The Talent Acquisition Manager will work with local leaders to understand the situation “on the ground” and develop the strategies and tools to meet the needs of the Hawaii region. This position will be seen as the local Talent Acquisition subject matter expert, savvy in all TA systems/tools and will represent TA in department meetings. This position will also work as a liaison and be a conduit for alignment between U.S. Mainland, Hawaii, and Asia. · Supports local Talent Acquisition team and work with the Global Talent Acquisition team and corporate resources to adjust verbiage/location/channel of postings to improve lead traffic.

Position Responsibilites:

Supports local Talent Acquisition team on:

  • Corporate generated applications, contact applicants and review their match to the role.

  • Support applicants through the interview process (scheduling, hiring manager feedback, offer letter, Day 1 confirmation)

Responsible for handling “high profile” position requisitions and takes ownership for requisitions during times of high demand to support the team as needed.

Engages with hiring managers and analyze data/statistics to assess what is working and what is not working.

Coordinates with regional leaders in a creation / review of a 90-day recruitment forecast.

Serves as the liaison between Talent Acquisition and leadership on more complex issues, and drive towards solutions.

Represents Talent Acquisition in meetings, provides data/analytics to highlight trends/areas of opportunity, reports on progress and ensures Talent Acquisition efforts are aligned with partner needs.

Uses the Talent Acquisition tools/systems with proficiency and mentor Talent Acquisition team in these areas accordingly.

Serves as the link between U.S. Mainland, Hawaii and Asia to ensure alignment of systems, processes and use of global programs and tools. Provides insights and/or translation of Asian culture and labor laws for awareness and consistency as needed.

Carry out all other reasonable requests made by management of which the person is capable of performing

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree/College Diploma

  • 3 – 5 years of related experience

  • 2+ years of Supervisory Experience

  • Proven proficiency with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) system, Video Interview Application and Microsoft Office Applications

  • Japanese/English fluency – read, write and spoken

  • Ability to develop relationships and establish trust/credibility

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities with finesse and professionalism

  • Ability to remain flexible/adaptable during times of ambiguity and maintain composure during stressful situations

It would be advantageous in this position if you possessed:

  • Experience in the Timeshare Industry

  • Experience with Union hiring

  • Prior Human Resources experience
