HILLS Properties is currently seeking a Director of Accounting to join our team. This is a full-time, salaried position working out of our corporate office, located in Blue Ash, OH!

At HILLS, the Director of Accounting is responsible for accurate, sound financial data, timely reporting, and communication of results, while managing the accounting team. This individual will also be responsible for building strong relationships with internal departments to ensure strong financial controls and accurate reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures accurate financial information and sound financial data control as necessary for successful operational execution and timely communication of the same.
• Creates financial reports/presentations and other projects as requested.
• Provide financial insight, management & recommendations
• Collaborate with other managers to gain understanding of the businesses sufficiently:
• Recognize/suggest opportunities for process improvement
• Produce financial reports as required and requested
• Work in concert with department heads to understand results in business context
• In conjunction with other managers, enhance financial planning/variance analysis within corporate, business units and operational areas
• In coordination with respective managers, enhance business processes, controls, and financial reporting for all departments of the company
• Supervisory and Personnel Responsibilities:

– Responsible for accounting analysis and reporting procedures and exercises control over accounting financial data

– Recommends accounting policies and procedures

– Responsible for all accounting personnel, their service to other internal departments, and successful cross departmental communication

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MBA preferred
• Certified Public Accountant, a plus
• 7 – 10 years of financial/accounting experience
• 3+ years of private sector enterprise experience including employee management, coaching & mentoring
• Strong IT knowledge and experience in supporting IT initiatives
• Evidence of strong leadership and business acumen
• Project management oriented – Detail oriented and results driven with strong problem-solving skills
• Change management advocate
• Highly communicative team-player – Confident and collaborative

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
