HighTech Solutions Hiring for Graduate Software Engineer Job at Edinburgh, Scotland Full Time

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in the software development industry, and be able to work in both group settings and individually. The Engineer will work closely with project team members to implement new features and bug fixes and should be a responsible individual who can quickly identify vulnerabilities and obstacles, and then create innovative solutions to any problems encountered.

Responsibilities:

• Write full stack web applications
• Write reusable and maintainable code.
• Write client-side JavaScript and CSS.
• Write unit and functional tests for the application.
• Work with a team of developers to build a new feature set and maintain existing features.
• Build and install new services.
• Implement an easy to use, friendly user interface.

What we’re looking for

• Recently graduated or due to graduate with B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimisation techniques, object-oriented programming.
• Any experience of JavaScript, Java, Python, Ruby, AWS, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• A good understanding of Agile practices.
• Ability to accurately estimate software tasks and work to schedule.
