Accountant – Accounting or Finance Degree

High Country Search Group is seeking a degreed Accountant on behalf of one of the fast-growing, private equity-backed companies in the Denver area. This position is in a relaxed corporate environment, offers plenty of room for growth within the accounting profession, and offers hybrid capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be extremely well organized, have excellent computer skills and have exceptional critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
• Assist accounting department with the preparation of financial statements for month-end close
• Handle Accounts Payable for multiple entities and vendors
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Monitor a shared AP mailbox, reconcile vendor statements & resolve any AP related discrepancies
• Process weekly payments
• Prepare and mail annual 1099 filings
• Code all company and personal credit card expenses
• Maintains purchasing and invoicing systems: Compare purchases orders, prices, and other charges against invoices
• Invoice customers, apply payments, email invoices
• Calculate and submit State and City Sales & Use taxes
• Prepare other various monthly state reports

Additionally, the candidate should have:

• Minimum Bachelors Degree, in Accounting or Finance
• 0 – 3 years of previous work experience in an accounting or finance position
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel Knowledge
• QuickBooks or comparable accounting or ERP software experience
• Previous experience within accounts payable

Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
