Monday – Thursday
4:00pm – 3:30am
Overtime may be required on Fridays
Position Overview:
The CNC Machinist is responsible for manufacturing quality products a CNC machine. This candidate will work according to very precise specifications and follows standard operating procedures such as engineering drawings and measurements. This position will perform preventative maintenance of all the machines and tools as required.
Job Responsibilities:
Manufacture parts to engineered drawing and specifications.
Make sure quality meets or exceeds internal company and international standards.
Meet or exceed the scheduling requirements to ensure parts can be completed on time or ahead of time.
Be part of a work environment that promotes success, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.
Make recommendations to supervisors/management to improve productivity, safety and quality.
Act as a technical source of information for supervisors/management when it is required including professional interaction with co-workers and customers.
Perform work in accordance with safety program and procedures, with due care and attention for both yourself and your co-workers.
Complete Non-Conformance Report (NCR) when needed.
Be organized and keep work area clean and put tools away in assigned areas.
Performing daily maintenance of machines and equipment in accordance with preventative maintenance programs.
Perform independent set up of each job in accordance with provided instructions and in a timely manner.
Perform and document in process quality checks in accordance with our quality program.
Any other duties as directed by Foreman.
Qualification Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2+ year of experience or 2nd Year CNC Machinist apprentice.
Understanding of at least basic measuring tools, knowledge of more advanced tools.
Knowledge of setting up machines and using various machine controls.
Basic knowledge in using various measuring instruments for precise measurements up to 0.0001”.
Able to display, good aptitude along with the ability to learn and retain knowledge of Company’s products and services.
Self-starter; motivated, task focused, and results driven.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit, and/or stand for long periods of time.
Able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
Exposure to dust, fumes or gasses
Exposure to change of temperature or humidity
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
