Job Description:

As a Driver Recruiter, you will pro-actively recruit, screen, and hire qualified drivers for Heyl Truck Lines, Inc. in accordance with company guidelines, DOT regulations, and Federal and State Employment laws.

Responsibilities:

• Know and understand Heyl driver qualification standards, DOT Regulations, and Federal and State Employment laws.
• Responsible for all driver recruiting calls and inquiries.
• Conduct telephone interviews and review DOT required reporting to pre-qualify all new hires.
• Obtain new driver leads and follow up on past leads with phone calls and/or emailing to establish contact and build rapport.

Qualifications:

• One year Transportation, Sales, or Recruiting experience is required.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills – oral and written.
• Pleasant and assertive/persuasive personality.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and the ability to make sound business decisions.
• Must be able to effectively and accurately complete work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to demonstrate professional and positive presentation of Heyl Truck Lines to effectively sell the company and its mission to potential candidates.
• Possess effective organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple candidates/applications at the same time.
• Ability to maintain composure and react professionally during periods of stress.
• Demonstrate confidentiality standards and judgment in handling personal information.
• Must be self-motivated, able and willing to work independently to get results.
• Proficiency in various computer programs including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Willingness and ability to learn new software programs.
