Herrington on the Bay Hiring for General Manager, Catering and Event Venue Full Time

Herrington on the Bay is Maryland’s premier luxury waterfront event venue with expansive views of the Chesapeake Bay. Herrington on the Bay has 2 waterfront venues for weddings and other special occasions. Herrington on the Bay is hiring a General Manager. The General Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of Herrington on the Bay to ensure goals and objectives are achieved while ensuring a superior guest experience. The position will be responsible for daily operations, short-term planning, and development and execution of visionary growth plans. Responsibilities include supervision of food & beverage quality control, facility maintenance, administration, sales, marketing, event coordination, annual budget development and oversight, daily, monthly and quarterly direct cost and sales s, human resources, bookkeeping, production & inventory, with additional special projects, including renovations when necessary.

Responsibilities include:
Work closely with sales & marketing to ensure success and growth of Herrington on the Bay
Oversight of culinary department to ensure costs are aligned with goals and budgets

Monitoring event schedules & labor costs

Manage renovation projects and budgets with little to no impact to client experience
Maintaining a great working relationship with clients and generating new clients

Monitoring and fostering great relationships with employees and among teams

Requirements:

Strong Sales, Operations and Culinary Background

Have at least 5 years GM experience in catering company grossing a minimum of $2.5M

Strong verbal and written communication Skills
Extremely organized and attentive to details
Able to perform under pressure

Must understand Financial Statements and Profitability
Quick Thinker and Problem Solver
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Caterease, comfortable with software packages

Valid Drivers License

Facility maintenance and renovation /construction experience
