An Accountant at Hero is responsible for calculating commissions, processing payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, data entry, creating excel spreadsheets, and other accounting related tasks. Candidates who will thrive in this role enjoy day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, manipulating data in excel, and improving processes. They are also great at getting details right the first time, being a team player, and staying flexible with department growth.

Schedule

• Schedule can be set for an 8-hour day between 6:00 am – 7:30 am start and 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm end times

Essential Job Duties

• Process Accounts Receivable transactions including daily deposit, reviewing invoices, and payments
• Enter Accounts Payable transactions including incoming bills, online transactions, and credit card transactions
• Maintain streamlined accounting inbox, vendor files, and accurate data imports
• Assist with weekly data entry and reconciling of job costing spreadsheets
• Prepare cashflow reporting, weekly check run, and month end account reconciliations
• Prepare, calculate, and review information for commissions and payroll processing

Qualifications

• Demonstrates Hero core values at a high level (T.R.U.E.)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal record
• 2-year degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in working with payroll, accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Basic to intermediate understanding of accounting principles
• Basic to intermediate experience in QuickBooks
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
• Able to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Highly motivated, flexible, and great attitude on life
• Outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
• Independent work ethic with an ability to collaborate within a team
• On time and prepared to work before the scheduled start time
