• Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
• To provide support to the Financial Accounting Manager
• To be an active member of the Finance team
• To be able to cover accounts receivable role in times of need

• Responsible for the daily input of paper (scanning) and electronic (inbox management) invoices
• Ensure all invoices are captured, that the data has been read correctly and that the posting to the G/L accounts, Profit and Cost Centres is correct, in line with agreed coding guidelines
• To ensure that images are clear and the quality is in accordance with HMRC requirements
• Responsible for exporting invoices to SHARE/Coupa system (internal financial tool)
• Responsible for ensuring that invoices are booked on the correct purchasing group, to ensure that they are registered on the correct approval workflow
• Ensure all invoices are appropriately authorised electronically in accordance with the agreed approvals matrix before being paid
• Review and manage Purchase Ledger electronic tasks (SM35 flows) on a daily basis
• Ensure the treatment of VAT is correct to reduce potential VAT return adjustments
• Request and reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
• Deal with suppliers and staff queries in a timely and professional manner
• Carry out and adhere to Purchase Ledger control procedures
• Create new supplier accounts on receipt of internal ‘C1’ and ‘C2’ forms within agreed timescales (1 day).
• Review and follow up debit balances to clear within a 1-month timeframe
• Maintain regular Purchase Ledger housekeeping tasks
• Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts: prepayments, accounts payable control
• Responsible for the payables interco reconciliation (balance sheet and P&L) using FBICR3 reconciliation tool in SAP
• Reimbursement of staff expenses
• Perform month/year end close activities to ensure Accounts Payable are accurate and timely reconciled to GL
• To be a confident systems user, SAP, Coupa (purchase order system) Share, Kyriba, strong Excel skills
