THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Adviser to join our national HR Operations team on a maximum term contract for 12 to 18 months, based in our Sydney (Macquarie Park), Melbourne or Brisbane office.
In this role you will provide leadership to the national HR Operations team to ensure we have a high performing team dedicated to contributing to a service focused culture, continuous process improvement and to creating a positive stakeholder experience. You will also support the Senior HR Manager Operations & Policy to deliver initiatives and cyclical processes.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
Management of:
National HR Operations Team
AskHR help desk – including training, monitoring and providing accurate, timely responses to staff requests, rostering/leave cover, improvements in functionality for HR and HSF staff
Pre-employment check process and database maintenance
Annual cyclical processes eg SA/EC/SC promotions, manual remuneration review letters, annual Legal Services Award and casual remuneration reviews and communications
External Audit requirements associated with commencements and departures
Review of HR templates for legislative and process changes;
Responsible for general process improvement and subsequent communication to the HR Operations team and national HR team as needed
Monitoring of our casual employee pool to ensure casual conversion obligations under Fair Work are met
Administration, delivery and ongoing continuous improvement of national Induction program
Support the Senior HR Operations Manager with managing Consultant engagements and updating the global data room
Maintenance of HSF policies
Ability to draft bespoke employment contracts and standard employee documents
Oversight of psychometric testing functionality, exit surveys for Business Services and Practice Group teams,
Provide training to HR team members and relevant stakeholders on best practice
Contribute to national HR projects as needed
Compliance with WHS obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements for this role as set out on the intranet
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Tertiary qualifications with a HR major or equivalent.
Business or professional services experience in managing an operations function or centre of excellence from a production and resourcing perspective.
Good understanding of employment law principles.
Ability to lead and bring out the best in a foundation team.
Strong attention to detail.
Commitment to provision of accurate and timely responses
