Summary:
The Senior Operations Supervisor responsibilities are to oversees the operations (production and packaging) of the different manufacturing facilities of the company. The focus of this position is to improve performance and efficiency through implementation of effective strategies, ensure a smooth run of daily operations, mitigate and fix any issues.

Job Duties:

• Oversees the entire production and packaging operations in all locations.
• Collaborate with QA/QC department and production and packaging supervisors to ensure that the quality standards, GMP and Health & Safety guidelines are being always followed.
• Ensure quality products are consistently and efficiently produced to meet the clients and consumers commitments.
• Work closely with the Health & Safety Committee Chair to promote safety through work procedures, and employee safety programs to prevent any incidents, near-misses, and accidents.
• Participate in Health & Safety committees, GMP’s and Food Safety audits.
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are implemented and adhered to consistently by the operators and supervisors.
• Manage production cost, labour utilization, waste, line efficiencies, and raw material usages.
• Align with production planners to optimize equipment usage to improve operational performance and maximize production efficiency standards for labor and raw materials.
• Coordinate with all departments to work together towards company’s short and long-term goals.
• Make sure that all equipment is maintained and operated per GMP and Safety procedures.
• Oversee the assessment of production staff to identify development needs.
• Develop, coach, motivate and provide performance feedback to supervisors, assistant supervisors and team leads.
• Conduct production and packaging meetings with supervisors.
• Participate in budget process to develop and maintain standard product costs.
• Develop operations risk assessment, including mitigation activities and action plans.
• Prioritizes sustainability and the environment when engaged in business relations

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a natural health or food manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Project Management, or related field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes inclusive of quality, logistics and warehouse management
• Mechanical engineering knowledge is a plus
• ERP/MRP system knowledge
• Highly motivated, ability to work independently, as well as being a strong team player.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Fluent English (reading/speaking/writing).
• Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly flexible, with good interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

Work Conditions:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday availability, overtime as required.
