Summary: *
The Packaging Supervisor’s responsibility is to supervise and coordinate the activities of all packaging operators. Additionally, they are responsible to study the production order and arrange the type and quantity of a product, containers to be used, and other packaging requirements.

Job Duties:

• Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.
• Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Perform all work in accordance with company standards and established safety procedures
• Managing/arranging daily working tasks of all packaging operators in the facility
• Checking weights and quality of the products, preparing raw materials, cleaning, collecting finished products, recording check sheet information, and general ingredient and in-process product handling.
• Operates machines to fill containers with appropriate products and to label these, and operates machines to produce, package and label products following safety policies.
• Perform all work to organizational standards to ensure final product meets quality standards.
• Determine and report product and equipment malfunction to the appropriate authority.
• Make sure employees are following GMP’s, and always maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area.
• Assist in ensuring quality in every aspect of the product.
• Prioritizes sustainability and the environment when engaged in business relations
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of packaging and supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment, preferable with related products or food products
• High school diploma/GED
• Proficient Computer Skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, problem-solving and leadership skills
• Can work independently and is self-motivation
• Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Fluent English (reading/speaking/writing)
• Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly flexible, with good interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Ability to stand, bend, and reach for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg continuously throughout the day.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Commitment to accuracy and detail oriented.
• Reduce environmental impact whenever possible

Work Conditions:

Training
