At Exan, we are part of Henry Schein One, and the leading provider of Academic-Dental software solutions in North America with clients located around the world. Our core on-premises product is powering over 90% of the market and our cloud product is targeted for 100% growth over the next 12 months. To continue building on our success, we are looking for a full-stack Senior Software Engineer to join our amazing axiUm Ascend development team.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience developing cloud/SaaS web applications.
Solid understanding of application architecture and enterprise design patterns.
Expert-level proficiency with front-end technologies: JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, Backbone.js, React), HTML5 & CSS.
Expert-level proficiency in the following programming languages and frameworks: Java and Groovy/Grails.
Extensive knowledge of unit testing frameworks and web APIs.
Experience with Amazon Web Services and tools.
Experience with database systems, query optimization, and storage systems.
Working knowledge of Agile & Scrum. Able to mentor junior Software Engineers and participate in hiring new team members. Bonus qualifications
Knowledge of RabbitMQ SQS, AWS SNS, or other messaging frameworks.
Experience with Amazon Web Services and tools.
Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Pentaho.
Experience in developing high transaction microservices. Dental or Healthcare industry knowledge is an asset but not mandatory.

We encourage you to ask a lot of questions and want you to learn as much as possible about the role and the work you would be doing at Exan! Technical interview that includes coding with Software Team Lead (hiring manager) and a Senior Engineer. Team interview with fellow development team members.
