Henniges Automotive Hiring for Controls Engineer Full Time

The Controls Engineer position located in Reidsville, NC and will be responsible for Programming and troubleshooting issues on Drives, PLC’s, and Robotic Systems all integrated with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Assist the Maintenance department with training of technicians on skill sets needed to conduct minor improvements/corrections to programming issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with extrusion on centralized line control programming issues.
• Work closely with Information Systems department regarding networking of time and attendance and labor tracking systems.
• Program robotic systems to include changes in specification
• Handle program changes and upgrades to plant equipment that may require substantial programming and coordination with other departments.
• Assist with the implementation/identification of error proofing projects on new equipment as well as existing processes.
• Document and organize all electronic programs to facilitate easy recovery should a control program be lost or corrupted. Help ensure schematics are up to date, filed and organized.
• Assist with Quality and Continuous Improvement teams to identify corrective actions to customer and team issues.
• Work closely with launch teams in bringing in new platforms and troubleshooting electrical/electronic issues.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Prefer a bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university (preferably Electrical Engineering); plus four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Must have at least 4 years of responsible electronics maintenance experience.

Must have extensive experience with Allen Bradley products ranging from Micro Logics to RS Logix systems

· Broad knowledge of computer programming software

· Broad knowledge of device net and Ethernet

Desired Qualifications/Requirements:

· Knowledge pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,852.59 – $121,829.90 per year

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
