Hennepin County Hiring for Revenue Cycle Manager Job at Minneapolis, MN Full Time

The Financial Analysis Account Administration area within the Human Services and Public Health (HSPH) department is seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager. This position will supervise portions of the Public Health Clinical Revenue Cycle and be the point person for interactions between Public Health & Clinical Services (PHCS), Epic Project Management (EPM) Specialist, and Hennepin Healthcare Electronic Health Record (EPM) team tracking new and on-going projects.

Location and hours:
This position will be located at the Health Services Building at 525 Portland Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Work hours are flexible, primarily days, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. with occasional after hours to attend meetings

About the position type:
This position is a full time, benefit earning position.

In this position, you will:

• Supervise portions of the Public Health Clinical Revenue Cycle regarding billing, accounting, auditing, and other activities to assure proper reporting and compliance of complex accounting and finance systems.
• Research clinical documentation, medical coding, and submission processes for new and existing clinical services to maximize revenue.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff; demonstrate leadership qualities through team motivation, coaching, and mentoring; evaluate and determine staffing needs that best align with business needs; realign and outline processes that will optimize revenue and/or cash receipts from clinical work.
• Diagnose and resolve complex problem management and provide guidance to team members; maintain knowledge management database for problem reporting and resolution.
• Work with management to design, implement and test new workflows and processes, utilizing project management skills and tools; collaborate with outside payers, clinical staff, clinic management, billing team staff, and Hennepin Health EHR team.
• Utilizing information systems such as EPIC, business operations, and requirements analysis; network with the EPIC Application teams to optimize EPIC utilization in the revenue cycle.

Need to have:
One of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and four or more years of experience working in clinical or healthcare revenue cycle management.
• Eight or more years of experience working in clinical or healthcare revenue cycle management.

Nice to have:

• Experience:
  • Certification in Epic, Epic Cadence, and/or Epic Prelude.
  • Utilizing Resolute software.
  • Managing and reviewing the work of staff.
  • Working with clinical revenue cycle processes.
  • Implementing change management within established teams.
• Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
