JOB TITLE: Junior Accountant

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Helpsy Junior Accountant is an integral member of the accounting team.The Junior Accountant partners with various department leads and contributors to meaningfully participate in business and strategic plans to help align business functions to meet profitability, growth, and cash flow goals.The Junior Accountant will assist in managing daily, monthly and year-end tasks from identifying incoming payments, invoices and purchase orders, and cash flow reporting to running month end reports. The role is suited to someone who can work independently, is adaptable, can prioritize work and operate proactively in small team.This is a fully remote position.

• Investigate and resolve any differences identified on the GL, Bank, PayPal, Salesforce
• Month-end reporting activities as required.
• Assist in collection, payment and recording of invoices
• Assist the team with collecting and processing of data for ad-hoc projects, during key times such as audits, month -end close, budgeting.
• Performs any other duties as requested by controller and senior management.
• Assist Controller in special projects

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant experience in an accounting environment.
• Ability to work as a part of the team and interact with other departments.
• A proactive approach to work and willingness to contribute to success and growth of the company.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop or similar.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A drive for continuous improvements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, and proficiency with other Microsoft Office

Suite programs and Google Suite programs.

• Good working knowledge in accounting practices and US GAAP.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsive to and proponent of change.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Is a self-starter who can work well under minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working remotely.
