Job Objective
Design and implementation of high complex material- and information flow processes / concepts along the supply chain and implementation of training measures to safeguard operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Logistics Processes
1. Designing and optimizing of high complex logistics processes along the supply chain in agreement with the superior responsible based on given targets.
2. Optimization and simplification of high complexity material flow concepts and processes for successful application as well as system improvement of ERP / WMS logistics modules.
3. End-user and management oriented documentation of business processes for securing and transferring know-how.
4. Determining correlations between master data as well as preparing and installing control loops for updating master data.
5. Driving continues improvement in all logistics material- and information flow processes along the supply chain.
6. Align improvements with operational and process responsibilities
7. Management of high complexity projects with high or special requirements (e.g. just in sequence) under consideration of an integrated supply chain optimization and total cost approach.
8 Harmonizing, streamlining and standardizing of high complexity material- and information flow processes based on corporate standards and a lean thinking, to achieve lasting improvements in efficiency and service.
9. Creating and negotiating logistics offers for and with customers up until a contract is awarded and during series operations up to SOP.
10. Support and coaching of operational staff in terms of logistics processes and continuous improvement.
B. IT processes, tools and interfaces
1. Describing high complexity target process specifications for linking material flow concepts with the connected information flows.
2. Preparing methods, policies and tools for the optimization of planning processes and tracking of key performance indicators in agreement with the superior responsible.
3. Drawing up training concepts and documents as well as executing qualification measures.
4. Redesigning, checking and optimizing logistic parameters such as lead times, stock levels, delivery service etc. as well as inventory policies, planning rules, planning methods, etc.
5. Selection and optimization of logistics infrastructure, equipment and IT solutions
C. Project management
1. Management and project lead for high complexity logistics projects from technical and organizational perspective.
2. Defining, planning, coordinating and monitoring tasks within project teams by using defined methods and systems.
3. Preparing and further development of concepts for improving recording, analysis, modeling, presentation and management of process-related data.
4. Continuous monitoring of project success regarding time, budget and output quality and driving execution of defined actions.
5. Coaching and training of the project team and/or triggering additional trainings
6. Negotiating general logistics conditions with suppliers, service providers and customers (e.g. JIT/JIS processes, turnaround periods, packaging).

The North American manufacturing facility is located at 1101 Vincennes Ave in Flora, Illinois, it is a wholly owned subsidiary of HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA. The Flora location is approximately 180,000 sq.ft. with 320 employees. The location supplies to all major OEM and Tier 1 customers and is dedicated to 100% OEM automotive production. The facility is driven by Surface Mount Technology for high volume, high mix and high complexity electronic modules. Most of the final product assembly lines are fully automated.
