We’re looking for a driven person with a passion for Product to join our growing Product Management team. Our ideal candidate embodies our values and culture, and works collaboratively to solve problems with unique, innovative solutions. You’ll own the objectives and goals of the product, as laid out in the strategy, and will work collaboratively with Design and Engineering to identify problems and opportunities, develop and validate solutions, and ensure that these align with the overall strategy of the product.
This is a junior position, we coach talented and driven individuals to become strong Product Managers and leaders who will go on to own the long-term vision and strategy of their product.
Responsibilities and Duties
Work with a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team including Product, Design, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to develop and release products and features
Understand the Product Vision and for your product, and work to execute on the Product Strategy
Keep stakeholder groups informed of product development and releases
Implement methods of continuous discovery to identify problems and opportunities to improve the product
Work with users on a regular basis to gain a deep understanding of their business needs and pain points, and bring the voice of the customer into the development process
Use product data to identify opportunities for improvement, work with data analysts to gain a deeper understanding of the product data
Monitor and develop the competitive analysis for your product, researching trends, new releases from competitors, etc.
Present internally new products and features to large groups in regular product demonstrations
Qualifications
Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Ability to influence without authority, tell the product story, and ensure the team is aligned with the product vision
Demonstrable understanding of Product Discovery and Delivery practices
Strong emotional intelligence, empathy, and relationship building to help influence and guide large teams without authority
Ability to read and interpret data
Experience working at a technology company is an asset

Candidates must also be eligible to work in Canada. Helcim uses a hybrid work structure where team members can work 3 days in the Calgary office (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) and 2 days (Tuesday/Thursday) at home. Staff are required to be fully vaccinated to work in our office and participate in company events.
