Location: EDINBURGH Head Office with good mix of home working

The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for two fully qualified accountants to join our Financial Reporting team in our head office in Edinburgh. The role offers a real step-change for us in the UK, helping add value by way of review, challenge and financial control while acting as a key point of contact for colleagues in our shared service centre and Amsterdam.

Working within Financial Reporting you will be responsible for financial control and accurate and timely month-end reporting to our Group team.

This role will focus on our Balance Sheet review and control, assisting in the coordination and execution of period end close activities and control compliance. You will be a key coordination point for the shared service centre, and you will also business partner our external and internal auditors and key local and global contacts. The role will also include assisting with review of our local statutory financial statements. We are also in the process of implementing a new ERP system so this is an exciting period of change across the finance function. You will be joining a hard working team in a fast-paced environment.

The Person

• For this role, you’ll need to be a fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional accountancy body.
• This role is best suited to someone who has had previous financial reporting experience in a large corporate organisation (advantageous if you have audit experience from Big 4/similar)
• We’re looking for a professional and effective communicator, able to work effectively with local and global stakeholders, develop relationships and influence people to drive outcomes.
• You will need experience of IFRS or UK GAAP/FRS 101 accounting standards.
• Good hands-on knowledge of finance systems including SAP (preferable but not required)
• Excellent Excel skills with a keen eye for detail.
• You are motivated by continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
