Hedge King is Looking for Hedge Trimmer Full Time

Hedge King is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our existing team as Hedge Trimmers. As a hedge trimmer you will trim/shape cedar hedges in the Ottawa area. It requires working at heights on ladders, attention to detail and good hand eye coordination.

As we invest a high amount of training and coaching in our employees, candidates must be able to work for April – November. Position Details:
You will assist your crew leader with day to day jobs and tasks; such as hedge trimming, hedge planting and hedge removals. We will provide all the necessary training in order for you to be successful and to feel confident & comfortable on job sites. In this position, you will learn how to use a hedge trimmer (or improve existing skills if you already have experience), become a pro at safely using ladders of varying heights, and become efficient at raking. Raking and general site cleanup may not be the most exciting tasks but at Hedge King we go above and beyond in our work and site cleanup is a sure way to have our clients say “wow!”. Any landscape or construction labour experience is considered an asset but not required. Hedge King takes pride in our jobs and in order to provide quality work, we invest in high-quality tools and equipment which are always kept in excellent condition. This not only makes the job easier for our crews, it also makes it safer.

Position Requirements:

• Have a good eye for detail as hedge shaping / trimming is an artistic skill
• Be able to arrive at our yard for 6:30 am daily (Monday – Friday)
• Reliable transportation to our yard located in Barrhaven (near the 416 & Barnsdale)
• A valid G license, with clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to work outside in a physically demanding position
• Safely operate all tools and equipment (full training provided)

Position Compensation:
We offer competitive wages based on experience. Work which exceeds time frames and expectations will be rewarded with bonuses.
