Heartworks, STEAMworks & Loveworks Hiring for Child Care Teacher, Guaranteed Weeks Paid Time Off at Shelburne, VT Full Time

Heartworks Early Education is invested in meaningful positive change for those who dedicate their careers to early education.
To be more comparable with K-12 primary education positions, we now offer 4 weeks of guaranteed paid time off for employees. Our school calendars include paid closures between Christmas and New Year’s Day, February and April vacations (to align with the Chittenden County Public School District), the week of July 4th, along with multiple federal holidays and added professional development days throughout the year.
We are seeking a Child Care Teacher to join our team in Shelburne, where our school director carries more than 16 years of leadership experience and is a trusted and dedicated mentor.

A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:

  • Eight-hour shift (openers typically arrive at 7 a.m.; closers typically stay until 5:30 p.m. – COVID precautions and policies may impact these hours).
  • Following and maintaining all state-mandated COVID precautions and policies for early learning centers.
  • Designated one-hour break per shift.
  • Following a set schedule that helps children establish healthy eating, sleeping, and bathroom routines.
  • Working in close contact with your co-teacher and school colleagues.
  • Implementing and evolving the Heartworks philosophy of teaching.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate kindness and respect for self, others, and our community at-large.
  • Skilled in play-based learning approaches and social-emotional education.
  • Deliver required paperwork and completed lesson plans on time.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Adhere to all VT Public Health and Child Care Regulations.
  • Authorize state-required background check.
  • Act as mandated er, both on and off campus.
  • Help ensure classroom environments adhere to NAEYC’s Anti-Bias Early Education.
  • Ability to stand, move, run, and play for the majority of the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds multiple times a day.
