Patient Access
Location:
The position is located in the Alabaster office at Heart South Cardiovascular and s directly to the Endovascular/Peripheral Manager for all matters, including job duties, performance evaluations, approval of leave and other assignments as deemed necessary for the benefit of Heart South.
Nature of Duties:
Process patients through check in and/or check out process in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical legal and regulatory requirements of the health care system. Communicate with patients, doctors and other staff members in a professional, timely and courteous manner.
Specific Duties:
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma/GED
Experience: Medical office experience preferred. Surgery scheduling and insurance verification preferred, but not required.
Performance Requirements:
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 75 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder, using computers and telephones
