HEAPY Hiring for Optimization Engineer III at Raleigh, NC Full Time

Independently performs a variety of assignments related to Energy Assessment, Energy Conservation, Facility Optimization, and Commissioning/Validation projects. While having independent responsibility for all or portions of projects, foster a collaborative approach on all activities and works effectively with other Practice Colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position normally requires a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited program and a working knowledge of various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment. This position requires 2 years of prior relevant experience regarding energy engineering in the Built Environment. Equivalent working knowledge/prior experience as a Co-op or Intern or advance degree may be considered in lieu of a 4-year engineering degree. Achieved a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certification and is preparing for Professional Engineering (PE) Registration once required work experience is achieved. Achieved Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accreditation. Achieved an appropriate Commissioning Certification, as coordinated with the Practice Operations Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with more experienced Engineering Colleagues to prepare and review energy calculations, Utility Rate structures, testing procedures, plans, or s involving HVAC, Lighting, Standby Power, and other Energy consuming or producing equipment, components, or systems.
• Collaborate with more experienced Engineering Colleagues to verify that owners project requirements are met from project design through operations.
