Job Description Summary:

As Accounting Manager responsibilities include the day-to-day financial activities as well as the month-end close process for multiple entities. This role will partner with the Controller to manage the accounting staff and support the operations team and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee an accounting staff of 6-8

High level of integrity to ensure accurate reporting of financial data

Gain a high level of understanding for all accounting processes within accounts payable, cash management, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger

Serve as lead finance for day to day financial activities

Review and analyze data for completeness and ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and timely

Proactively identifies unique problems, such as reconciliation/posting issues, and seeks help to resolve, if necessary

Lead month end close process – account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, fixed asset management, depreciation and various analysis

Analyze and prepare error-free detailed month end financials of multiple entities

Assist Controller with budgets and various other duties as assigned

Lead and provide support for year end audits

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent education

3-7 years’ experience in an Accounting or Finance related work environment

Excellent analytical, written, and verbal skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in highly fast paced environment

Highly organized, detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and timeliness on delivering commitments

Strong work ethic

Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must

Experience using Microsoft Office products.
