Job Summary: The Healthcare Compliance Specialist ensures regulatory adherence and industry standards within the organization. Responsibilities include audits, policy development, and training for compliance. Collaborates across departments to identify and mitigate compliance risks. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of healthcare laws, analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement healthcare compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular compliance audits, and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate compliance risks.
• Monitor healthcare laws and regulations, and assess impact.
• Provide guidance, and training on compliance matters to employees.
• Investigate, and address compliance-related issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies, auditors, and legal counsel.
• Review third-party vendors for compliance.
• Assist in developing, and implementing compliance policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, law, or a related field (Prefered)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare compliance or a related field, preferably in a healthcare organization.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and the HITECH Act.
• Experience in conducting compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and identify potential compliance risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate compliance-related information to diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in using compliance management software and tools.
• Professional certifications in healthcare compliance (e.g., CHC, CHPC) are highly desirable.
