Health Education England Hiring for Project Officer Job at Cambridge, East of England, England Full Time

The aim of this forward-thinking training development is to ensure provision of long term and sustainable training capacity within the system and to increase the pipeline of trained medical, clinical and support staff to meet the workforce plans of the region.

The post holder will be responsible to the appointed training academy leadership team and will be responsible for the business and administration functions of the academy.

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the programme governance, managing data and providing project support to the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager.

This is a key post within East of England to develop and implement Training Academies for Imaging and Endoscopy in line with national strategic direction through the HEE national Cancer and Diagnostics programme.

The post holder will work closely with HEE colleagues and departments, interlock with colleagues in NHS England and Improvement, Higher Education Institutions, and other stakeholders, to ensure robust project governance, first class communication and support implementation activities for the Academy model.

This requires the ability to work collaboratively across matrix teams whilst understanding different needs and drivers. The successful candidate will have proven communications skills, demonstrate good project governance and data analysis and be able to engage senior leaders. Essential to the post is ability and experience of supporting complex change projects.

Attention to detail, time management, planning skills and experience the postholder will also deliver and adhere to risk management and governance arrangements.

The vision for Training Academies is that they will provide multi-professional environments where training and education of the future workforce is the primary focus, maximizing the expertise of experienced educators and supervisors across a broad patch. The overall aim is to increase the number of learners transitioning to the workforce utilizing the academy model toincrease training capacity, to provide ahigh quality and enhanced training experienceand toaccelerate learning to independent practice.

The successful candidate should have proven project support experience and skills, have experience working as part of a matrix style team environment, and be able to forge effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders internally and externally.

• Coordinating and supporting the Diagnostic Academies projects
• Supporting the wider team to coordinate, plan and deliver all aspects of transformational workforce support
• Responsible for supporting the establishment, development and management of programmes for the Diagnostics workforce.
• Responsible for managing project governance including risk and issues logs, taking appropriate actions to support the effective management of project governance.
• Provide efficiency and effectiveness whilst managing within budget constraints.
• Line-manage members of the team as appropriate
• The role requires a high level of commitment with effective time management which also involves working to tight deadlines.
• Manage training activity as required.
• Support the updating of policies and procedures.
• Attend national and local meetings as a representative of Health Education England (East of England teams)

Ensure regular communication with all stakeholders, including responsibility for project update bulletins and webinars.

Secondments

Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only,

agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the

application.

Salary Progression

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 6 with a full-time starting salary of £32,306, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 5 years’ service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
