The NHS, through partnership working, would like to ensure that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play an increasingly visible and expanded role in improving outcomes and value from medicines for patients across our communities.
This work is underpinned by the need for a flexible, productive and affordable healthcare workforce that meets the needs of patients, reflecting evolving care pathways and the values set out in the NHS Constitution, NHS Long Term Plan and NHS People Plan.
The post holder will coordinate a range of projects, from proof of concept work to integrating emerging workstreams with established programmes. A number of projects are already in delivery, with further proposals in development and the post holder will work closely with existing professional Networks. To be successful in the role, the individual will need to utilise formal project management principles and methodology in the delivery and governance of the programme, working closely with the Pharmacy Programme Lead, Project Managers, Pharmacy Deans, HEE pharmacy colleagues and local and regional leads and workforce groups across the system.

Secondments
Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only, agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the application.
Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8b with a full-time starting salary of £54,764, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
