Health Education England Hiring for Medical Education Fellow – Obstetrics & Gynaecology (London) Job at London, England Full Time

The main aims of the Fellowship are to help in further development of School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology simulation programme with a focus on implementation as per the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Curricular requirements. They will be also required to focus on educational transformation as part of the recovery from COVID-19.

The fellow will be supported to develop the existing simulation platforms and other aspects of teaching / training material for all regional teaching platforms that are managed by the HEE London. They will be expected to develop an understanding of the level of knowledge required at different stages of training and then to undertake a systematic review of existing learning opportunities and identify gaps to formulate a comprehensive teaching package. Support can be given from the educational research department within HEE to submit project findings for publication. The post holder will be required to work across different professional groups including academics, consultants and leads in postgraduate education.

The post holder will work with their Supervisor(s) to fulfil the aims of the post. They will be expected to work symbiotically with other relevant Fellows and the Head of School, the School Specialty Advisory Group and other relevant personnel and trainers within Health Education England. Any ongoing out-of-hours clinical work will continue to be supervised by their local consultants.

Supervision will be under Dr Karen Joash, Head of school; Dilip Visvanathan, Deputy Head of School and the Lead Training Programme Directors for Maximising Training Opportunities.
