Health Education England Hiring for IT Technician Job at Birmingham, England Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity within Health Education England (HEE) for an IT Technician to work within the Midlands & East of England IT team. By joining us you will be working within a team to provide high quality in-house IT service.

This post will be based at Birmingham and Leicester offices and will provide office and remote support. Although this role will be based primarily in one of these locations, the requirement for travel across sites may be required.

We are looking for someone with 3 years plus IT support experience including working within a windows10, Azure, Active Directory, MS O365 environment with excellent troubleshooting and customer facing skills.

The post holder will ensure all IT support needs are logged, investigated, and resolved or escalated within SLA/KPIs. As part of a team you will image, deploy, and maintain Windows PCs, laptops and smart devices ensuring assets are regularly tested and ready for use. The role will also include installing and testing new software and software updates and upgrades to ensure compliance with software licencing.

You will also have responsibility for making sure hardware and software is kept up to date using approved tools on a scheduled basis, whilst making sure security compliance and standards are met and IT policies are adhered to.

This is an opportunity to join a major NHS organisation as it transitions to adopting an agile approach for major IT infrastructure and service development.

There will be opportunities to work on IT projects as part of continual service improvement.

The successful candidate must be organised, able to prioritise their own workload and work to agreed procedures and deadlines.

Salary Progression

Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 5 with a full-time starting salary of £25,655, with pay step increases after 2 years’ service and 4 years’ service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
