Primary Responsibilities

In the role of a Project Leader, we’ll count on you to:

• To represent HDR at all times in a consistent, informed and professional manner to all relevant external stakeholders.
• To manage and develop new and ongoing Client liaison and relationships.
• Maintain an awareness of all project variables and be able to effectively prioritise accordingly throughout the day-to-day management of the project.
• Weekly status ing to the Operations Manager to identify project issues, changes to team requirements and resource planning in line with changing project deliverables and program.
• Provide quality construction detailing solutions that maintain and uphold design intent whilst recognising buildability significance.
• Possess strong communication and negotiation skills to maintain design intent through design, documentation, and site delivery stages.
• Produce written specification and schedules for the project and liaise back to the documentation team.
• Work with external consultants in a collaborative and consistent manner to encourage optimum performance and ensure timely receipt of agreed consultant deliverables.
• Conduct regular design and documentation reviews in line with studio QMS procedures and check all project documentation prior to issue to maintain studio quality standards.
• Ensure documentation compliance with all applicable external statutory codes and standards.
• Manage project team, allocate work and track progress against program and budgets.
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• 10+ years relevant post graduate work experience – with a high level of demonstrated competency.
• Experience managing medium to larger scale projects or multiple projects.
• Effective client management and issues resolution experience.
• Confidence, speed and efficiency when reviewing, coordinating and documenting in the REVIT platform, understanding of operational and project delivery impacts of BIM more broadly.
• Strong understanding of the Australian architectural documentation and consultant coordination process through all stages of the project.
• Specification and Schedule writing experience.
• An ability to lead and motivate a high performing project team.
• Advanced communication skills to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
