HDA Accounting Group Hiring for Staff Accountant Job at Remote Full Time

Seeking a qualified, full-charge staff accountant. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining the financial records for several client accounts. Maintenance of the financial records includes reviewing the General Ledger in QuickBooks, making necessary adjusting journal entries, preparing work papers to document our accounting procedures, and preparing the client financial reports for review.

All work will be done at home with equipment provided by the firm. This provides an opportunity to working parents to balance work and family by performing all work from a home office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly cash-basis financial statement for multiple privately-owned businesses in multiple states.
• Assemble and prepare client financial statements and management reports.
• Interface with clients to obtain necessary source documents and answer questions they may have regarding transactions posted to the financial statements.
• Work as part of an organized team to make sure all client obligations are met during the monthly accounting cycle.

Skills and Abilities

• Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Candidates will review monthly financial statements for accuracy and consistency.
• Candidates will make adjusting journal entries as needed to close the books after each monthly accounting cycle.
• Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online version) is required.
• A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting is preferred, but not required.
• Must be a reliable team player who produces accurate and complete work.
