The Role

As a Buyer, you will deliver our procurement strategy ensuring we have the right components at the right time to meet our need and client requirements.

Refining our procurement processes, you’ll develop a strategy aligned with our goals and objectives, manage supplier relationships and negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and the highest quality.

Generating purchase orders, you’ll track and ensure timely deliveries and retain accurate product receipts, as well as analysing pricing, cost structures and vendor performance to support optimal purchasing decisions.

Additionally, you will:

– Manage and monitor inventory levels and stock using the MRP system
– Collaborate with the quality control teams
– Track budgets and seek cost-saving opportunities
– Manage and sell off redundant stock

About You

To be considered as a Buyer, you will need:

– At least one year’s experience in a similar role
– The ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines
– Accuracy and attention to detail
– Strong interpersonal skills
– A Level 3 Business Administration certification, or equivalent
– To hold, or be willing to work towards, a Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
