About the role
In this role, you will be supporting the Finance Business Partner Manager in the establishment of an effective financial planning and analysis function by providing key relevant insights into financial information to assist decision making and linkage to group strategy to varying levels of the organisation including executive and leadership teams.
You will also be co-ordinating and leading aspects of the annual budget and operating plan for the company and will act as the central business partner for specific business units and address all aspects of financial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide management and business unit stakeholders with appropriate financial reporting and analysis to monitor and measure business unit performance.
• Routinely communicate business unit financial results and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics and analysis.
• Ability to provide insightful commentary from financial analysis to identify market trends, financial result implications, key actions, and strategic outcomes.
• Partner with project office on all financial related project documentation including cost estimate validations, benefit identification and business cases.
• Contribute and lead key aspects of the annual budget and operating plan.
• Prepare presentations to support management meetings and discussions.
• Review management expenses for the group and analyse variances including deep dives into expenses and the underlying drivers.
• Provide guidance across the HCF business on various financial matters and strategic plans.
• Continually improve systems, processes and procedures to effectively support the business unit operations and meet evolving business needs around financial analysis and insights.

• Play a leading role in the development of financial modelling capabilities within the finance team that will improve and deliver superior financial analysis and outcomes to the business. Models will include revenue, P&L impact, cashflow and clear articulation of assumptions.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• Degree in accounting, commerce or related discipline
• CPA or CA qualification
• Demonstrated experience in a similar Finance Business Partnering role
• Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple cross functional teams and working styles.
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Demonstrated commitment to improve systems and processes
