HB Studios Multimedia Hiring for QA Tester at Lunenburg, NS Full Time

HB Studios is a driving force in the creation of sports video games and the studio behind PGA TOUR 2K Golf – presently working on PS4, PS5, XboxOne, Xbox Series X/S and PC. We have an opportunity for a QA Tester to join our team of developers, creators, and fans, who are passionate about the art and process involved in video game development.

As the QA Tester, you will work with a team of professionals in building games – from concept to release. We are looking for individual with a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest quality product and experience – free of bugs and defects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs short-term assignments using independent judgement within defined procedures.
• Conducts testing to ensure software meets regulatory performance standards or requirements.
• Identify defects or design issues and enters detailed and concise bugs into database.
• Create and execute all assigned test cases to detect and record product defects.
• Prepare and provide insight as to the playability of a title.
• Work closely with people across the QA department and development team.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Computer literacy with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• An interest in video games and game development.
• Experience testing with multiple games and platforms a plus.
• Technically proficient with PCs and gaming consoles a plus.
• A reliable team player with the ability to work independently.
• An effective communicator in both verbally and written forms.
• A detail-oriented person with organizational and problem-solving skills.
