Team Lead – Inside Sales – North America

Location: St. Paul, MN (on-site, hybrid potential)

H.B. Fuller is growing and hiring for an Inside Sales Team Lead for our Hygiene, Health & Consumables business unit.

The Inside Sales Team Lead is a critical role with a purpose to create competitive advantage for H.B. Fuller by enabling the inside sales team to operate at their full potential.

The Team Lead is expected to leverage an inside sales team to achieve annual sales & profit targets through coaching, development, and strategy execution. A successful Team Lead will be a hardworking and creative self-starter, with a proven track record in sales, sales coaching, and team engagement.

The Inside Sales Team Lead Is Expected To

• Retain and grow H.B. Fullers’ market share and customer base in a defined market(s).
• Be accountable for achieving annual sales and profit targets.
• Coach, manage and develop a team of inside sellers to deliver business results and improve our customers’ experience and loyalty by telephone and other web-based tools.
• Consistently implement pricing in line with business unit pricing policy.
• Achieve results through application and knowledge of the H.B. Fuller sales and value selling processes, as a subject matter expert. Winning the right way!

This role manages 6-9 team members managing a book of existing business of $45 million dollars across North America.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, recognize and performance manage the Inside Sales team members to assist them in reaching their sales goals.
• Assist and coach Inside Sales team on sales strategies and mentor team to drive discovery of customer needs by role modeling best practices and daily interactions.
• Facilitate and drive compliance with Salesforce.com, Insidesales.com and other business systems to document activity and progress.
• Able to adjust course when appropriate new ideas, objections or feedback is raised. Monitor sales calls to observe seller behavior, accuracy, conformity to company policies & practices, and ability to close a sale.
• Collaborate across sales teams and internal partners to drive sales process forward.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical/mechanical or marketing field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-3 years of years of direct supervisory experience in a sales organization, preferably as part of an Inside Sales Organization.
• 2-4 years professional inside sales experience as an individual contributor, driving new business opportunities, revenue retention as an account manager with multiple technical product lines/families. Preferably in the industrial chemical industry.
• Demonstrated experiences in sales, prospecting, and new business development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to develop and deliver effective presentations through electronic mediums.
• Ability to influence via phone, identify and gain access to decision makers, develop and close sales.
• Strong computer competency with high MS Office suite proficiency, database experience and other internet-based software.
• Travel- may be required, minimal

Physical Environment

Work Environment:

• General office environment. Offsite customer calls as needed. Occasional attendance (10%) at industry trade shows, conferences, etc.

Mental And Physical Requirements

• Mental activities require continuous interpersonal skills, selling, customer service, initiative and independent judgment and/or independent action; frequently using decision making, basic math, discretion, creativity, teamwork, and problem analysis, and occasionally using negotiation, and presentations/training.
• Physical activities require continuous hearing, talking and sitting; frequent feeling, fingering, handling and repetitive motions of hands/wrists; and occasional standing, and walking. Position may carry and lift up to 10lbs. Position requires continuous visual demand 75% – 100% of the time.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $60,000 – 80,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a Sales Incentive Plan..
