Sales & Logistics Support
JOB SUMMARY: Prepare Customer orders and take appropriate action within the company to satisfy order requirements. Serve as company liaison with key customers relative to product availability, pricing, ship dates, and general status of orders. Monitor sales activity and provide sales support relative to products sold. Coordinates shipping/mailing requests of product samples and literature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive customer orders and enter into the system all information used to initiate and manage order preparation, delivery and invoicing.
• Schedule shipments by confirming order details with customers, including pricing, promotional allowances, mode of shipment, delivery dates, and product availability.
• Monitor the processing of each order and notify the customer of circumstances that deviate from the initial order. Work with customers in developing alternative plans resulting from order deviations.
• Provide the warehouse with special packing, loading and shipping instructions as needed.
• Issue sales and invoice summaries.
• Prepare and/or maintain standard customer file information including telephone and fax communications, buyer guide sheet, current price lists, support files for order entry system, special pricing sheets, shipping instructions and other documents relative to specific orders.
• Authorize special pricing requests using guidelines from management.
• Assist Accounting Department as needed to research payment/invoice discrepancies and verify and approve freight invoices for payment.
• Trace shipments and communicate results to customers as necessary.
• Maintain central office files for the current year and the previous year’s sales orders and invoices.
• Maintain SAGE customer files as necessary.
• Review credit or status of customer account with central services to assure that customer is in good standing.
• Authorize and process product sample requests using guidelines from management.
• Provide administrative support to the leadership team.
• Provide tradeshow support.
• As an employee of a food manufacturing facility, you are responsible for ensuring food safety and quality by ing any concerns to the quality assurance department.

Special Skills/Training

• Exceptional customer service and order entry skills.
• Demonstrated experience in handling customer service issues courteously and expeditiously, including experience acting as a primary liaison with key customer accounts.
• The ability to work well under pressure and be flexible in varying situations.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience with varied accounting/order entry systems is a prerequisite.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong orientation to details and the ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks.
• The ideal person for this position will be extremely self-driven and an excellent problem solver.
• Mental activities require the continuous use of effective interpersonal skills. The position requires the continuous need to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to frequently make decisions and use independent judgment, use of discretion, problem analysis and teamwork.
• The ability to perform basic math functions such as add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Must be able to 10key by touch.

Experience/Education

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in an increasingly responsible Customer Service position including experience in a key customer account role.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and bending.
• Extensive use of telephone, computer, and other office equipment.
• Continuous talking and listening.
• Must be able to lift up to 29 lbs.

Working Conditions

• Mostly inside an office environment within an industrial food-grade facility.

Pay: $24.98 – $27.75 per hour
