Your new company

Our State Government client is seeking a Finance Support Officer to join their close knit team in the Melbourne CBD office. This is a 3 month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension.

Your new role

You will report to the Accountant and your day to day responsibilities will involve:

• Providing administrative and financial support to finance team
• Processing invoices in Accounts Payable
• Reconciliation of general ledges to Accounts Payable/Bank ledgers.
• Allocating expenses to cost centres and accounts, generating and evaluating expense reports and preparing and posting relevant journals in the finance system.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in preparing monthly financial and management reports, BAS, month end and year end processes, and the budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience in AP/AR and the process of maintaining general ledger in an accrual-based accounting environment.
• Dynamics 365 experience advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
